This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is collected and processed when you use the FIELDS website (the “Site”).
The Site is an initiative of Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH (“GIZ”), which is responsible for the data processed through the Site.

The Site is technically developed and hosted on GIZ’s behalf by New Concept Information Systems (NCIS), India, acting as a data processor.
Automatically, when you visit the Site: your IP address (anonymised before storage), browser and device information, the pages you visit, the referring page, and the date and time of access. This information is stored in temporary log files and used solely to operate, secure and improve the Site.
When you voluntarily provide it: if you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address, organisation (if given) and the content of your message, solely to respond to your query.
We do not knowingly collect any special category of personal data (e.g. health, religious or political information) through this Site.
The Site may use cookies to remember your filter preferences and to understand, in aggregate and anonymised form, how the Site is used, so we can improve it. Cookies that are not strictly necessary for the Site to function are only set with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
We use the data described above only to: operate and secure the Site, respond to queries submitted through the contact form, and understand aggregate usage patterns to improve the Repository and its content.
We do not sell personal data. Data is not passed on to third parties unless there is a legal obligation to do so, or the transfer is necessary to protect the Site’s infrastructure against attacks. Where NCIS processes data on GIZ’s behalf (for hosting and technical maintenance), this is governed by a data processing agreement with GIZ.
Personal data is not kept for longer than necessary for the purpose it was collected for, or as required by law.
Subject to applicable law, you may ask to: access the personal data we hold about you; have inaccurate data corrected; have your data erased; restrict or object to processing; and receive your data in a portable format. We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, or unauthorised disclosure or access.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The version published on this page is the one currently in effect.
